The museum’s supporting association was founded in 2019 and registered as an e.V. in 2020. The primary aim of the association is to continuously develop and maintain the roadbike bike museum in accordance with the specified plans for the history of road bikes and cycling in Fröndenberg and the surrounding area. The museum will continue to develop with special events, the involvement of children and young people, generous opening hours and informative guided tours, as well as supplementing the established chainsmith museum in Fröndenberg with the “bicycle chains” section.
In 2024, the executive board of the Rennradmuseumverein consists of the 1st Chairman Bernd Kern, the 2nd Chairman Hans Kuhn and the Managing Director Hans-Martin Kissing. Other active board members are responsible for a wide range of tasks. The association would be delighted to welcome new members and is hoping for donations, as the moderate admission fees cannot cover the museum’s costs.
